Café at 36 is a well establised cafe located in Cowick Street, in the heart of the local community of St Thomas, Exeter. The cafe is a family friendly local cafe, serving outstanding coffee and tea, and affordable locally sourced food cooked on the premises. From 8.00 am on weekdays and Saturdays; and 10.00 am on Sundays, you can enjoy everything from the ever popular full cooked English breakfast to a cheese scone or sandwich.
Wherever possible the food used in the Cafe is sourced in the West Country. At the heart of the cafe is the coffee obtained from Origin Coffee, based in Cornwall, who follow strict ethical standards. Every cup is freshly ground to order and hand crafted on the La Marzocca espresso machine.
Sausages, bacon and ham come from Courtenays, the local butcher in Cowick Street and the fruit and vegetables are supplied by Milfords – both long-established Exeter businesses. The soft drinks are supplied by award-winning Devon producers, Frobishers and Luscombes. Eggs are free range from Blackacre Eggs and bread is baked at Shaldon Bakery, the small bakery by the sea!
The Cafe is the perfect venue for one of the best cooked breakfasts in Exeter, a quick lunch and a chat, time out with the best coffee and award winning summer fruit flapjack or you can grab a scrumptious sandwich and home made cake to take away.
