Wherever possible the food used in the Cafe is sourced in the West Country. At the heart of the cafe is the coffee obtained from Exe coffee roasters, which is based just a couple miles up the road in the city centre. Every cup is freshly ground to order and hand crafted on the La Marzocca espresso machine.
Sausages, bacon, chicken and ham come from Courtenays, the local butcher in Cowick Street now owned by Burrow Farm and the fruit and vegetables are supplied by Milfords – both long-established Exeter businesses. The soft drinks are supplied by award-winning Devon producers, Frobishers and Luscombes. Eggs are free range from Exe Valley Eggs and bread is baked just down the road at Hardings bakery an established local – family run business. We also make our own delicious soups.
The Cafe is the perfect venue for one of the best cooked breakfasts in Exeter, a tasty lunch or a panino, one of our home made savoury flans or just take time out with the best coffee and our award winning summer fruit flapjack. We offer takeaway drinks and food too.
